Tirumala: Braving heavy rains, devotees gathered in large numbers to witness Sri Malayappa Swamy in the enchanting alankaram of Murali Krishna while riding the Chandraprabha Vahanam on Monday night, marking the seventh day of the ongoing annual Brahmotsavams at Tirumala.
Despite inclement weather, the Srivaru moved along the route—followed by a Ghatatopam moving shelter—blessing devotees amidst elaborate safety and convenience arrangements put in place by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
According to tradition, the Chandraprabha Vahanam is believed to dispel three kinds of afflictions—Adhyatmika, Adhibhautika, and Adhidaivika—providing deep spiritual solace to all worshipers.
Earlier in the day, the Lord was taken out in a grand morning procession on the Suryaprabha Vahanam across the four mada streets.
Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy and Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy of Tirumala led the spiritual proceedings, accompanied by TTD Executive Officer Muddada Ravichandra, Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, Chief Vigilance and Security Officer Muralikrishna, several Board Members, and other senior officials who actively participated in the vahana seva.
