Tirumala: On the second day of the ongoing annual Srivari Navratri Brahmotsavams at Tirumala, Sri Malayappa Swamy blessed thousands of devotees in the exquisite Dwaraka Krishna Alankaram while riding the five-headed Chinna Sesha Vahanam on Tuesday morning.
The morning vahana seva took place in a deeply devotional atmosphere, led by elephants, decorated horses, traditional musical instruments, and lively kolatam troupes.
Associated with Vasuki, the divine serpent king, the Chinna Sesha Vahanam is devoutly believed by pilgrims to bestow family well-being and the spiritual benefits of Kundalini Yoga. A grand total of 489 artistes from 17 cultural troupes across nine states enthralled the gathering. Key highlights included the energetic Tappetagullu folk dance of North Andhra and the graceful Dhimsa tribal dance from the Araku Valley region, creating a splendid blend of spirituality and cultural heritage.
Later in the evening, the deity was taken out in a majestic procession on the Hamsa Vahanam along the four Mada Streets, delighting crowds of gathered pilgrims. The religious proceedings were led by Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy and Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy, in the presence of TTD Executive Officer Ravichandra, TTD Board members, Additional EO Ch Venkaiah Chowdary, CVSO Murali Krishna, and other senior officials and temple staff.
