Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh boys’ and girls’ teams have left for Srinagar from Vijayawada on Sunday to participate in the 21st National Junior Soft Tennis Championship, scheduled to be held from October 5 to 10. Andhra Pradesh Soft Tennis Association general secretary D Dilip Kumar said both teams would represent the State in the six-day national championship.
Koneru Basaviah Chowdary (KBC) Zilla Parishad ZP High School for Boys Development Committee Member Koneru Rajesh distributed sports kits to the selected players on the occasion. Association chairman Dr Daram Naveen Kumar, president V Srinubabu, treasurer B Neeraja and other office-bearers extended their best wishes to the teams.
The boys’ team comprises PV Chinhaas, M Revanth and V Jayaram Sanjay from NTR district; S Eshwara Hitesh, N Arjun Sai, Sk Tanzeel and Sk Ghouse Mohiddin from Krishna district; and ChL Venkata Sandeep from Kakinada district.
The girls’ team includes A Sri Vaishali from NTR district; A Divya Jyothi, K Bhagyashree and B Tejashree from Kakinada; R Hasini from Guntur; D Arifa from Anantapur; M Moksha from Kadapa; and J Ishita from Visakhapatnam.
