Students urged to face challenges with confidence
Vijayawada: Deputy Commissioner of Police KGV Saritha called upon students to face future challenges with confidence, courage and determination, while emphasising the importance of self-confidence and a positive attitude in academic, personal and professional life. She was the chief guest at the valedictory and prize distribution ceremony of BEMUS 2.0, a national-level Edutainment Fest organised by the Department of Commerce, Andhra Loyola College here on Tuesday.

Fr Immanuel, Founder of BEMUS, attended as the guest of honour. Andhra Loyola College Principal Fr Dr S Melchior, Vice-Principal – II Year Fr M Arul Jothi, Dean of Commerce and Management Dr NA Francis Xavier, Head of the Department of Commerce M Nirmala Rani and Dean of Student Activities Dr A Sree Lakshmi were also present.
In the Group Discussion, St Joseph’s College, Cuddalore, won first place and BR College, Kakinada, secured second place. In the Quiz, Loyola Academy, Secunderabad, stood first, followed by St Joseph’s College, Tiruchirappalli, and St Xavier’s College, Kolkata.
In the Personality Contest, Ritwik P of Aditya Business School, Visakhapatnam, secured first place, while Sai Sneha and Pavani Sri of Maris Stella College won second and third places respectively. St Joseph’s College won the Business Plan competition, followed by Loyola Academy and St Xavier’s College, Kolkata. In Reel Making, PR Degree College, Kakinada, secured first place, followed by CR Reddy College, Eluru, and United Institute of Hotel and Business Management, Vijayawada. In the Product Launch competition, St Xavier’s College, Kolkata, won first place, Loyola Academy, Alwal, secured second and Nalanda Degree College, Vijayawada, third. In Group Dance, Loyola Academy emerged winner, followed by AC Degree College, Guntur, and CR Reddy College, Eluru.
The Overall Championship Trophy was awarded to Loyola Academy, Secunderabad, for its performance across various events. The prestigious Mr BEMUS title was won by Harshith Saroj of St Xavier’s College, Kolkata.
