Cyclone Arnab to make landfall near Kalingapatnam, Odisha, AP to witness heavy rain

The cyclone formed over the Bay of Bengal is named as Arnab is heading towards the coast of India. Odisha and Andhra Pradesh are preparing for the heavy rains and strong winds. This is because the depression will approach the coast between Visakhapatnam and Gopalpur by late night on September 23.

The name of the cyclone Arnab, meaning 'ocean' in Bengali and proposed by Bangladesh, is supposed to cross the coast at the time between 5 PM of September 23 to 5 AM of September 24. They are observing the live update regarding the impact of the cyclone like rainfall and wind.

Odisha is going to get heavy rainfall throughout many districts which might result in flooding. Andhra Pradesh, mainly northern coastal region of it, is also getting prepared for the cyclone.

In Kolkata, the weather has turned out to be overcast, with the expectation of the arrival of rain later in the afternoon. In Kolkata, there are showers in September 24, 25, and 26. But it is expected that there will be a small improvement on September 26. Rainfall is also expected in September
