Home Minister calls for coordinated efforts for constituency development
Anakapalli: Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha called upon officials and public representatives to work in close coordination to ensure comprehensive development of Payakaraopeta constituency. Speaking at a review meeting with officials from various departments at the Nakkapalli MPDO office on Tuesday, Anitha said officials should discharge their responsibilities with commitment and remain accountable. She called for zero tolerance toward negligence of duties and warned that strict action would be taken against officials for neglecting their responsibilities.
The Home Minister said that bringing Godavari water to Anakapalli district through the Polavaram Left Canal was a matter of great satisfaction. She informed that the government would consider developing the areas surrounding the canal in the Payakaraopeta region as a tourist destination in future.
Anitha also encouraged people to install solar power systems at their residences, highlighting that the government is extending subsidies to promote solar energy use under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
On road safety, the Home Minister directed the police to conduct awareness programmes on traffic rules at the village level to prevent accidents.
She stressed that two-wheeler riders must wear helmets and warned that action would be taken against those violating the traffic rules. The Home Minister said steps would also be taken to install CCTV cameras in villages across the constituency and directed police officials to accord the highest priority to public safety and security.
Further, Anitha said the Nakkapalli Boys High School would be developed as a model school and instructed officials to take necessary measures in this regard. She directed medical and health officials to remain vigilant and ensure that people in the constituency receive quality medical services without any interruption.
The Home Minister informed that measures would be taken to provide drinking water to every household in the constituency under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Officials from all four mandals of Payakaraopet constituency participated in the meeting.
