Visakhapatnam: Officials told to prepare action plan for coronavirus vaccination

Visakhapatnam: District Collector V Vinay Chand directed the authorities to prepare an action plan for Covid-19 vaccination process on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said the vaccine will be given to healthcare workers, ANM staff, Anganwadi and Asha workers in the first phase.
Those above 50 years of age and suffering with co-morbidities will be given priority. The Collector gave instructions to the authorities concerned to prepare a database of frontline workers in the district, identify vaccine storage points, make them ready and prepare a route map for the vaccination process. He ordered the DMHO to compile data on sanitary workers, ambulance drivers including 104 and 108, hospital technicians, administrative staff, paramedical staff, nursing staff, MBBS doctors, specialist doctors, etc.
Joint Collectors Arun Babu and Govinda Rao, Andhra Medical College Principal PV Sudhakar, DEO B Lingeswara Reddy, Women and Child Welfare Department PD Sitamahalakshmi and other officials participated in the meeting.
