Visakhapatnam: Tourism Minister Muttamsetti Srinivasa Rao said the city is all set to become the executive capital this year.

Participating in a meeting held for the distribution of house site pattas to the beneficiaries at Simhachalam here on Friday, the Minister said that despite the Opposition coming in the way, efforts were intensified to make the City of Destiny as one of the capitals of the State.

In the process, the Minister said, each district will be developed further. Srinivasa Rao also laid the foundation stone for a slew of development works taken up at a cost of Rs 1.5 crore, including construction of a community hall, CC roads and CC drains.

The Minister added that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy developed the State on all fronts despite the coronavirus pandemic that continues to prevail. Earlier, the Minister visited Simhachalam temple for a darshan of Lord Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy.
