Jeedikal temple Brahmotsavams to be held on a grand scale
Hanumakonda: Station Ghanpur MLA and former Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari directed officials to make elaborate arrangements for the Jeedikal Sri Veerachala Ramachandraswamy Brahmotsavams to be held in November during Karthika month. He reviewed the arrangements with District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha and officials of various departments at the temple premises.
Srihari said the number of devotees was expected to be higher than in previous years and stressed the need to provide adequate drinking water, sanitation, electricity, roads and other facilities. He asked the Collector to appoint a district-level nodal officer to coordinate arrangements.
He directed officials to complete the CC road in front of the temple, install central lighting, develop greenery in the divider and construct permanent community toilets. He also called for completing the pending three-km road between Aleru and Jeedikal and developing a park near the Kalyana Mandapam.
A medical camp with an ambulance and medicines, along with enhanced police deployment and surveillance, was also planned.
Later, Srihari and the Collector distributed Rs 13.61 lakh in CM Relief Fund cheques to 31 beneficiaries.
