Minister Sridhar Babu offers prayers at Bhadrakali Temple in Warangal

WARANGAL: Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu offered special prayers at the Sri Bhadrakali Temple here on Saturday. He was accompanied by Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy. Temple priests welcomed the Minister with a Poornakumbham.

After offering prayers and fulfilling his vows, the Minister prayed for the peace, happiness and welfare of the people of Telangana. He said he had sought the Goddess’s blessings to protect the State from the impact of El Nino.

Prayers for the State

Speaking on the occasion, Sridhar Babu said the impact of El Nino was being seen across the country and that he had prayed to Goddess Bhadrakali to safeguard Telangana from its effects. He said Godavari water was being brought from Dharmasagar to the Bhadrakali Lake to help maintain groundwater levels.

Development plans for Warangal

The Minister said the Congress government was working to develop Warangal on par with Hyderabad. He said IT towers would be constructed in the city to create employment and livelihood opportunities for unemployed youth.

He also announced that a Kakatiya University hub would be established soon, with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expected to inaugurate it. Sridhar Babu said the State was moving forward on the path of development with the blessings of the Goddess.

Temple development

Sridhar Babu said the State government had allocated Rs 30 crore for the development of the Bhadrakali Temple and improvement of its infrastructure. He expressed happiness that the Rathotsavam was being organised with the support of donors.

He said the government was taking steps for the development of temples across Telangana and prayed that the Goddess bless the people with happiness and prosperity.
