Warangal West MLA distributes sewing machines to 200 beneficiaries

Hanamkonda: Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy on Wednesday distributed free sewing machines to 200 eligible Muslim minority women at Ambedkar Bhavan in Hanamkonda. The programme was organised by the District Minority Welfare Department. Speaking at the event, Naini said the Congress government was working to ensure that welfare benefits reached every eligible family, irrespective of community. He said the government was taking steps to promote self-employment and economic empowerment among minority women.
The MLA announced that cheques of Rs 50,000 each under the Indira Mahila Minority Yojana would soon be distributed to 55 eligible single Muslim women in the constituency. He also said eligible members of the Dudekula and Fakir communities would receive financial assistance of Rs1 lakh each with full subsidy.
He urged beneficiaries to utilise the assistance effectively and become economically self-reliant.
