Several BRS leaders join Congress in Dharmagadda Thanda
Hanumakonda: Several BRS ward members and key leaders join the Congress party in DharmagaddaThanda of Devaruppulamandal in Palakurthi constituency on Tuesday. They say they are joining Congress, citing the state government’s development and welfare programmes and its PrajaPalana initiative.
The joining programme is organised under the leadership of village Congress president and former sarpanch candidate MoodaChandanaDevender.
Palakurthi MLA MamidalaYashaswini Reddy welcomes the new entrants by draping Congress scarves around their shoulders.
Speaking on the occasion, Yashaswini Reddy says the government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is focusing on welfare, development and infrastructure for all sections.
She assures residents that pending development works in DharmagaddaThanda will be taken up in phases.
Those joining Congress include ward member Bhukya Bikini and leaders BhukyaSrinivas, BhukyaSomla, BanothSrinivas, Muda Mahesh and Muda Manoj. Several Congress leaders and local representatives attend the programme.
