Warangal: Warangal District Collector Dr Satya Sarada has appealed to people to celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with devotion, joy and peace. Extending her greetings to residents, public representatives, officials and media personnel, she wished people happiness, good health, prosperity and peace with the blessings of Lord Ganesha.
The Collector also prayed for favourable agricultural conditions, a good harvest and prosperity for farmers in the district. Stressing environmental protection, she urged devotees to install and worship clay Ganesh idols and completely avoid idols made from materials harmful to nature and the use of chemical colours.
She said authorities had been directed to ensure smooth immersion of clay idols. Dr Sarada called upon devotees to follow Hindu traditions, cooperate with one another and maintain brotherhood and unity. She also urged the public to strictly follow government guidelines and ensure peaceful celebrations.
