Teenager held for cutting infant throat in Chennai
The police have arrested a teenager who got into an argument with the neighbours as they refused to give him the house keys.
Chennai: The police have arrested a teenager who got into an argument with the neighbours as they refused to give him the house keys. The youth who lost the cool cut the throat of the infant baby and flew away from the spot.
Going into details, Vivek Kumar and his wife Priya reside at Tiruvallur in Chennai. The couple has a one and a half-year-old son Sai Charan. The neighbours at the next door have a teenaged son Akash (19), who is addicted to ganja and alcohol. In this context, Akash's parents went out of the house and gave the keys to Priya on Wednesday and said not to give the keys to their son.
In the evening, Akash came home and asked Priya for the keys. For which, Priya said she doesn't have the keys, which led to an argument between them and he attacked Sai Charan with a knife.
Akash also attacked Priya's mother Sarada, who tried to stop him and flew away from the spot. The locals rushed the injured infant boy and his grandmother to the nearby hospital.
After the first aid, Sai Charan was shifted to Children Hospitals in Egmore for better treatment. On receiving the complaint, the police registered a case, took Akash into custody on Thursday morning and sent him to remand.
