Bharatiya Tatrakshak Seizes ₹3,000 Crore Worth of Narcotics at Sea

NEW DELHI | 29 SEPTEMBER 2026. In an powerful move against global narco-terrorism, Bharatiya Tatrakshak working closely with the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) of Gujarat stopped a major drug smuggling operation in the Arabian Sea, west of Lakshadweep. Using sea-air surveillance based on solid intelligence Bharatiya Tatrakshak tracked the vessel without delay launched a hot pursuit and boarded a suspicious Iranian dhow on 25 September 2026. The operation at sea led to the seizure of around 526 kilograms of purity illegal drugs—heroin and methamphetamine—worth more than ₹3,000 crore in global black markets. Five Pakistani nationals crewing the vessel were taken into custody. The dhow, the crew and the entire stash have been brought to Mumbai under armed protection for joint questioning and full legal action across multiple agencies.

This success shows how strong Bharatiya Tatrakshak is at sea. It proves the effectiveness of their surveillance network and their firm stand against any kind of activity in India’s waters and extended maritime zones. By cutting off the money flow of criminal groups and stopping harmful synthetic drugs before they reach Indian cities this mission helps strengthen the nation’s goal of a Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
