Bus Accident in Himachal Pradesh Leaves Eight Dead and Several Injured
Private bus slid off an uphill stretch, before capitulating and plunged into a couloir which fell 70 to 80 bases. Eight people were injured in the crash.
At at least eight people failed and further than a dozen were injured in an Himachal Pradesh bus accident and plunged into the couloir of Sirmaur quarter in Himachal Pradesh on Friday, officers told journalists.
The bus was taking customers who were travelling from Solan towards Haripur Dhar, when the incident occurred the officials added. Initial reports suggest that the vehicle was slid off on a steep stretch before collapsing and sliding into the gorge's deepest part.
The bus plunges into gorge its vehicle to pieces, sending the passengers in the grip of panic authorities said. Witnesses reported that the scene was chaotic, as the passengers of the fatally injured bus were seen screaming and crying in the gorge. Villagers ran to the scene to assst them.
Many passengers suffered fatally injured in the crash of a bus India on the damaged bus and were freed by rescuers. District administration and police teams were on the scene and began an emergency rescue and relief operation. Patients who were injured were taken to hospitals nearby and efforts were made to recover corpses of dead in the river. A probe has been launched to determine the reason for the accident.
