A scuffle broke out between Congress candidate from Chandni Chowk, Alka Lamba, and her supporters on one side and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers on the other.
A scuffle broke out between Congress candidate from Chandni Chowk, Alka Lamba, and her supporters on one side and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) workers on the other. Lamba has been campaigning aggressively and is known for her vocal presence in the area.
Lamba is reported to have tried to slap an AAP worker for making a comment which she did not take kindly to.It must be recalled that the Congress candidate from Chandni Chowk constituency was with the AAP earlier. Therefore, there a history of hostility between AAP and Alka Lamba. An AAP worker is reported to have objected to a brooch or a symbol which Alka Lamba had on her clothes. This led to an altercation and she is said to have tried to slap an AAP worker.
Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha member from AAP, Sanjay Singh has said that AAP would complain to the election commission.
