Ranchi: The final electoral rolls in Jharkhand following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) will now be published on November 30, according to the revised schedule issued by the state’s Chief Electoral Officer.

Jharkhand CEO K. Ravi Kumar on Thursday directed all District Election Officers and Deputy Commissioners to complete the revision process within the stipulated timeframe.

The final electoral roll was earlier to be published on October 19.

The CEO instructed officials to ensure that no eligible Indian citizen is left out of the electoral roll and that no ineligible person is included.

According to the revised schedule, the disposal of first and second notices in cases related to non-mapping and logical discrepancies will be completed by October 22.

Verification of voters who fail to submit the required documents even after receiving a second notice, along with door-to-door verification by Booth Level Officers (BLOs), will have to be completed by October 31.

Other non-notice cases will also be disposed of by the same date.

Digitisation of all claims and objections received through Forms 6, 6A, 7 and 8, relating to the addition, deletion or correction of names in the electoral roll, will also be completed by October 31.

For eligible citizens whose names have not yet been included in the electoral roll, door-to-door verification will be conducted from November 1 to 12. Digitisation of Form 6 applications will also be carried out during this period.

Disposed notices will be scrutinised and re-verified between November 1 and 21 at the levels of the District Election Officer, the Electoral Roll Observer, and the Chief Electoral Officer.

Meanwhile, maps and photographs related to polling stations will be updated on the Election Commission's online network between November 1 and 23.

These will include notional house numbers of polling stations, nazri maps, main maps, Google Maps, and photographs of polling stations.

All claims and objections will have to be finally disposed of by November 23.

Between November 24 and 29, officials will conduct a quality check of the electoral roll, obtain the Election Commission's approval for publication of the final list, and complete its printing.

The final electoral roll for Jharkhand will be published on November 30.
