New Delhi : The parliamentary committee headed by Congress MP Anand Sharma has said that government hospitals have suffered the maximum burden of Corona epidemic as not everyone has access to private hospitals. It is not just a matter of getting everyone treated in private hospitals. The committee has stated the need for a comprehensive law to control private hospitals in public health matters and to prevent black marketing of drugs.

In the report submitted to Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu, the Standing Committee on Home Affairs recommended that the emergency use of the Corona vaccine be allowed only after proper deliberation and sufficient number of trials. The report came at a time when the government is considering applications made by at least three companies for permission to use the vaccine in emergencies.
