Rahul Gandhi has unveiled a digital portal named 'Satyagraha' in order to help consolidate protests and campaigns on various issues including inflation, joblessness, problems faced by the farming community and safety of women.
In a video address posted on his personal X page, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha informed about the new initiative. On the website, there is an interactive map where one can fill in details regarding the protest, its leaders and its objective. Information thus gathered is displayed on the map which helps in connecting like-minded protestors from around the nation.
Many individuals are protesting for their respective rights in isolation, according to Gandhi, and if joined together, it would be more difficult to subdue them. In case any issue is registered with his office, Gandhi said he would raise it in Parliament, send letters to authorities concerned and even join the protests on streets himself.
The significance of the political move lies in the fact that it attempts to connect campaigns in different parts of the nation to make them visible at the national level.
