YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy, here in a statement said that the Railway Board chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav, favourably considered his request to continue Waltair Division under South Central Railway (SCR) despite forming a new zone.
New Delhi: YSRCP MP V Vijayasai Reddy, here in a statement said that the Railway Board chairman Vinod Kumar Yadav, favourably considered his request to continue Waltair Division under South Central Railway (SCR) despite forming a new zone.
Reddy met Yadav here on Tuesday morning to plead with him the case as AP would be deprived of a huge chunk of revenue earned by the Waltair Division if the new zone is formed be segregating the Waltair Division.
He brought to the notice of the chairman a letter written by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, in this regard and pleaded the case of AP. The chairman also said that introduction of new trains and speeding of trains and several other project proposals for AP were under consideration of the Railway Board.
