NEW DELHI: At noon on Friday, the Rashtrapati Bhavan had announced the four Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) ministries given to Amit Shah would be at home.

Rajnath Singh, who was at home through the first term of five years for the Modi government has been replaced by Shah.

S Jaishankar, the former diplomat and foreign secretary at the ministry of external affairs will be completing the quartet. On Thursday, his induction in the Cabinet by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a surprising move for almost everyone.

The appointment of Shah, among other indications show that, he might be continuing as the chief of BJP. However, his arrival in the home ministry as an unabashed Hindu nationalist who reveres the ideology of Hindutva, Savakar is frightened with a clear message. His tenure as the home minister of Gujarat during the chief ministership of Modi was defined to be the hunt for terrorists.
