Actor-politician and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ravi Kishan has praised India’s Gen Z, calling the younger generation the “soul” of the country and saying it will shape the nation’s future. His remarks came amid protests led by the CJP in Delhi over allegations of vote theft.

Kishan, who is a member of Lok Sabha from Gorakhpur, made the remarks at the Khidkiyaan Theatre Film Festival 2026 in Mumbai in the presence of actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

‘Gen Z Is The Future Of This Country’

Speaking at the event, Kishan said he saw aspects of himself reflected in the younger generation. He expressed confidence that young Indians would play a decisive role in the country’s future, from political institutions to public spaces.

“Gen Z is the soul of this country,” Kishan said.

Emphasising the generation’s future responsibilities, he added that young people would eventually take charge of the country and influence its direction across different spheres.

“Gen Z is the future of this country. After us, they will run this country in all the possible ways. From Parliament to the streets, Gen Z will run the show,” he said.

Kishan’s comments came against the backdrop of CJP-led protests in Delhi over allegations of vote theft. The demonstrations have drawn attention to concerns surrounding electoral processes.
