HUBBALLI: On Monday afternoon, an individual had been injured in a low-intensity blast that took place at Hubballi Junction railway station in Karnataka.

As per sources, a tea vendor Hussainsab Naikwade saw that an abandoned basket was found inside an empty compartment of the Vijayawada-Vasco Amaravati express train.

The explosive material is suspected to be a mild intensity inflammable chemical, which had exploded as the tea vendor out of curiosity pressed it and sustained injuries.

Naikwale has been admitted at the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Hubballi.

An investigation has been launched by the railway police regarding the blast.
