Tejasvi forced to delete his old tweet on women getting 33% of the LS seats
Though the 'Chowkidar Tejasvi Surya' account quickly removed it, the captured image gained momentum and went completely viral.
It was not even a day when the 28-year-old Tejasvi Surya, who is the BJP candidate from Bengaluru South constituency, was forced to delete his old tweet, about his dismay at women getting 33% of the seats in the Lok Sabha.
His 2014 tweet: "With the exception of Womens' Reservation in Parliament, Modi govt agenda is inspiring. Dread d day when women's reservation becomes reality," was widely shared.
Though the 'Chowkidar Tejasvi Surya' account quickly removed it, the captured image gained momentum and went completely viral. In June 2018, when BJP lost the Jayanagar seat to Congress, Surya, who is highly active on Twitter, had also posted other controversial posts.
"Call me a bigot, communal fanatic or whatever. But singular reason for BJP's defeat in Jayanagar is the complete consolidation of Muslim vote. Look at the below numbers from Gurappanapalya, a Muslim locality. BJP must "really" become a strengthen party & not just be perceived as one," he tweeted.
When TOI asked him if this tweet ran contrary to the 'Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas' philosophy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said: "The ideological inclinations are not an issue for this election. The issue for the election today is PM Modi's promise of a new and superpower India. My only concern as of today is to ensure that Bengaluru South elects the BJP with a massive margin so that we'll strengthen Modi's hands. Rest is immaterial."

BJP must 'really' become a Hindu party & not just be perceived as one. pic.twitter.com/oWbtOSbEE1
BJP should unapologetically be a party for Hindus. Must take concrete legislative measures to alleviate Hindu issues, not just make speeches. USHV is only solution to counter Muslim consolidation

Congress is the party of Muslims: every Hindu must be convinced of this truth
All anti-India forces have united to stop Modi. While Modi's agenda is building a new & robust India, their agenda is to stop him. They have no positive agenda.

If you are with Modi, you are with India. If you are not with Modi, then you are strengthening anti-India forces. pic.twitter.com/k0mXzqItrG
I am all the more convinced that we must unapologetically agitate for a Hindu rashtra.

As long as we try to defend bring Hindu in a 'secular' language, we will lose.
This is a lifetime's work. To just make people see truth bereft of their colonial & abrahamic consciousness.
