Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi are likely to visit Odisha separately in the last week of this month, official sources said.

While Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to visit Odisha for the inauguration of the Reserve Bank’s greenfield data centre and training institute in Khordha district on October 25, President Murmu will be on a two-day tour of the State from October 28.

A state-level preparatory meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Anu Garg here to make plans for smooth conduct of the visits.

According to President Murmu’s tentative itinerary, she will arrive in the State on October 28 and travel from the Dandabose Airstrip in Rairangpur to the Maa Kichakeshwari Temple at Bahalda. She is also expected to visit Laxmi Mandap at Mahuldiha and her residence in Rairangpur.

Sources said both the Prime Minister’s and the President’s visits are expected to include multiple official programmes.
