The new OTT lineup is a mix of Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi content featuring romantic comedy, rural drama, sports action, supernatural horror and psychological thrillers. Some new films and web series have made their digital debut on various platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, JioHotstar and SonyLIV. Here is the latest line up of films available for streaming.

Netflix

Epic – First Semester

The Telugu romantic comedy-drama Epic – First Semester, starring Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya in the lead, is now streaming on Netflix. Directed by debutant Aditya Hasan, the film is available in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The story follows a middle-class student in London dealing with relationships, identity and loneliness while leading far away from home. The film marks Anand Deverakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya reunion after their successful collaboration in Baby. Interestingly the movie has been listed on Netflix as Epic Classic – First Semester, which has sparked the curiosity of the viewers about why would the streaming version have the title change and if the Netflix version could feature additional or alternate content.

Mandaadi

Tamil sports action drama Mandaadi is another addition to Netflix’s lineup. Directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi, the film starring comedian Soori in a heroic role and the debut Tamil film Suhas as the antagonist is available on Tamil along with dubbed versions in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. Set against the backdrop of a traditional South Indian sailboat race, Mandaadi features an intense rivalry and is a mix of sports, action and drama. The film’s setting and competitive storyline form the core of its premise.

Least Eligible Bachelor

The Telugu comedy-drama web series Least Eligible Bachelor is also available on Netflix, apart from its release on ETV Win. The six-episode series, released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam, is directed by Babu Degala and features Harsha Chemudu, Aishwarya Holakkal, Hyper Aadi, Jeevan Kumar and Roopa Shravya. The story follows Teja, a middle-class man under the pressure of his family to get married. After relocating to Hyderabad for a job, he discovers that his new boss, Madhu, is the woman chosen as his prospective bride. The unexpected situation makes him into a forced live-in and a series of complications ensue.

Amazon Prime Video

Maremma

Telugu rural drama Maremma has started streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Directed by Manchala Nagaraj, the film marks the acting debut of Maadhav Bhupathiraju, the nephew of Telugu star Ravi Teja. Set in rural Telangana, the film explores the emotional relationship between Karni, a young buffalo herder and a sacred village buffalo selected for an important local ritual. Deeply rooted in rural traditions, folklore and community tensions, it presents a story centred on human emotions and cultural beliefs. Deepa Balu, Vikas Vasishta and Vinod Kumar appear in the film.

Khalifa: The Ruler

Malayalam action-thriller Khalifa: The Ruler, starring Prithviraj Sukumaran, is now available on Amazon Prime Video following its theatrical run. The film adopted an unusual distribution strategy by releasing simultaneously across six OTT platforms. Directed by Vysakh, the movie follows Aamir Ali, a textile shop owner whose life has changed dramatically after corrupt forces framed his father, he is drawn into his family’s secret gold-smuggling network. The film also features notable appearances by Mohanlal and Tovino Thomas and set the story up for the proposed sequel, Khalifa 2 – The Legacy.

Awarapan 2

Awarapan 2 has made its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video after a successful theatrical run. The film reportedly crossed ₹213 crore worldwide at the box office. Directed by Nitin Kakkar, the sequel brings back Emraan Hashmi as Shivam Pandit, almost two decades after the events of the original film. The cast also includes Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Puran Gabbi and Suvinder Vicky. The story follows former gangster Shivam, who has distanced himself from his violent past and chosen a quiet life, but his attempt to stay out of the crime comes to an end when he is entangled in a dangerous cartel conflict in Bangkok.

JioHotstar

Adbhut

Hindi supernatural horror film Adbhut is now streaming on JioHotstar. The film is directed by Sabbir Khan and stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui as a detective investigating a series of paranormal incidents occurring around a married doctor couple. As the investigation proceeds, the detective discovers a horrifying medical crime and a vengeful spirit haunting the house. The film also stars Diana Penty, Shreya Dhanwanthary, and Rohan Mehra. It creates an eerie atmosphere of supernatural activity, murder mystery, and investigation.

SonyLIV

Eyes – Season 1

Malayalam psychological thriller series Eyes – Season 1 is available on SonyLIV with a subscription. Written by writer duo Bobby-Sanjay and directed by Manu Ashokan, the series, which was released in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi, stars Kani Kusruti, Nikhila Vimal, Dev Mohan, Shruti Ramachandran and Saniya Iyappan in lead roles. The show deals with the darker side of relationships, as it delves deep into how love can turn into obsession and control. As the characters get trapped in an atmosphere of fear and psychological tension, the series unveils a crime and suspense thriller.

From Epic – First Semester and Least Eligible Bachelor to Mandaadi, Maremma and Awarapan 2, the latest OTT releases present a variety of content for audiences across languages and genres. While Netflix offers a mix of comedy, romance and sports action, Amazon Prime Video focuses on rural drama and action thrillers. Alternatively, Adbhut on JioHotstar and Eyes – Season 1 on SonyLIV cater to viewers looking for horror, crime and psychological suspense. With the wide variety available, OTT audiences have a number of options to explore this week.
