10 simple steps to help make Your Home feel more peaceful
A tidy room will help to tidy up your home and will help to create a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere.
On a sunny morning open all the curtains and let the sunlight shine in the room. Natural light will form new, open and inviting interiors in the interior.
Plant a few indoor plants, add fresh flowers or natural wooden accents to create a natural connection for a new look in your home.
During the evening use warm lights rather than bright lights. Soft lighting can help to create a cosy feeling for an evening that's just winding down.
Have a small chair or chairs, cushions and blanket in an area for sitting to read, drink tea or just have a few quiet moments.
Put objects around the house in their appropriate place such as keys, shoes and bags. A house can be less hectic when you arrive home if you have a method of getting in the house.
Keep your bedside table simple, comfortable bedding and limit the number of distractions in the bedroom to help create a more restful sleep environment.
If you are a fan of fragrances try fresh flowers, a light essential oil fragrance or a subtle candle fragrance. Select fragrances that are appealing and not strong fragrances if they are uncomfortable.
Dim down the background TV, reduce noise if possible and have a few quiet moments to read, or listen to a bit of quiet music, to give your brain a rest!
Take 5-10 minutes to tidy up, fold blankets and tidy away. It may be easier the next morning once you've cleaned your home.
