The above meal plan is definitely not for any specific medical condition.
When you start consuming the above proportions in the plate, it would help in preventing both, macro-nutrient as well as macro-nutrient malnutrition (hidden hunger).
No vitamin or mineral (micro-nutrients) supplements would offer adequacy of entire nutrients, which can be met from this model plate.
When you regularly consume foods in proportions as per the model plate, it helps improve both immunity as well as resistance to infections.
The above meal plan also helps in preventing diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs) such as heart attack stroke and many other diseases.

Food Groups - Food to be consumed (in grams) - Percentage of total calories Cereals - 270 - 45 Pulses * - 90 - 17 Milk/Curd - 300 - 10 Vegetables+ - 300 - 5 Fruits# - 100 - 3 Nuts& Seeds - 20 - 8 ^Fats & Oils - 27 - 12
*eggs/fish/met can substitute pulses
+Prescribed amount of vegetables can be consumed either in cooked form or in the form of salad #prefer fresh fruits and try to avoid juices ^use different varieties of cooking oils (do not use one type of oil)
Those individuals who are trying to reduce weight must cut down on cereals intake
