Mr. Joe Biden spent most of his childhood in Scranton, Philadelphia, before moving to Wilmington, Delaware when he was 10Yrs old. He was humiliated by his classmates for his stammer.
Played Football in School
Mr.Biden played football at Archmere Academy. He played wide receiver and running back, catching an impressive 19 touchdown passes.
Failed Medical due to Asthma when drafted for Vietnam War
Mr Biden finished law school at Syracuse University and was then drafted for service in the Vietnam War. But he failed in medical due to his asthma condition.
Lost wife and daughter in Accident
Mr Biden lost his first wife Neilia and baby daughter Naomi in a car accident in 1972. His two sons Beau and Hunter were also in the vehicle but survived. His oldest son Beau, died of brain cancer in 2015.
Loves Icecream
Mr Biden has admitted to having a sweet tooth. He once said: “My name is Joe Biden and I love ice cream.” He added: “I don’t drink. I don’t smoke. But I eat a lot of ice cream.”
Favourite movie is Chariots of Fire
In one of the interviews Mr. Biden mentioned that "Chariots of Fire" is, I think, probably my favorite movie.
In 1987, he ran for president for the first time
He quit the race after it was revealed he incorporated into a speech of his parts of a speech by British Labour Party leader Neil Kinnock—falsely referring to ancestors of his who worked in the coal mines.
He voted for Iraq War
He voted for the Iraq War in 2002, and was present at the White House when then-President George W. Bush signed the resolution authorizing the use of force against Iraq. Biden has since called the vote a “mistake.”
In 2008, he ran for president for the second time
In 2008, Biden ran for president a second time but dropped out after coming in fifth in the Iowa caucus. Seven months later, Barack Obama selected him as his running mate.
