List of Coronavirus Vaccines that are Made in India

The coronavirus situation continues to remain grim in the country. So far in India the number of samples tested upto Sunday stood at 13,95,03,803 out of which 9,392,919 confirmed cases, 8,802,267 recovered cases and 136,696 deaths are recorded. Here's a list of all COVID-19 vaccines being made in India.

Covaxin
Manufactured by: Bharat Biotech in association with the ICMR

Bharat Biotech completed Phase I and Phase II trials of Covaxin. Recently Phase III human clinical trial began at AIIMS in New Delhi, and three other volunteers got the first dose.
Covishield
Vaccine Developer: Oxford - AstraZeneca

Manufactured in India by: Serum Institute

In its interim analysis, the vaccine has shown 70 percent efficiency. This vaccine will be available for healthcare workers and older people by February 2021, while the general public needs to wait till April 2021.
ZyCoV-D
Manufactured by: Zydus Cadila

Phase I testing process was announced in July and started phase-II clinical trials from August. Two vaccine versions are being tested, one that makes use of molecular DNA to elicit an immune response. The second one uses a live measles viral strain to provide protection. The vaccine may be available by March 2021.
Mynvax
Mynvax uses a unique approach involving a protein-based vaccine. As per Mynvax co-founders, the vaccine can be stored at 37°C for over a month, and it will not lose its effectiveness during that period.
Biological E Limited
Hyderabad based BE's phase I/II clinical trial will assess the safety and immunogenicity of the vaccine candidate in about 360 healthy subjects in the age range of 18 to 65 years. The clinical trial results to be out by February 2021.
Gennova Biopharmaceuticals
It is a biological product that needs genetic manipulation and hence requires the Review Committee on Genetic Manipulation (RCGM) approval, a DBT body, before it approaches the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) for human trials.
