How MI can qualify

MI have 14 points and are in 2nd place, with 2 games in hand. If they win both, they’ll qualify. If they lose 1, they’d hope at least 2 of the teams from CSK, LSG, RCB or PBKS lose at least 1 game. If tied on 16 points, MI’s negative NRR will eliminate them.

How RCB can qualify

RCB are 5th in the table with 12 points and NRR +0.166. While GT have 18 points, CSK, MI, LSG also have potential to surpass RCB’s max 16 points.

If Punjab also win both games and reaches 16 points, RCB will head to the playoffs due to their superior NRR.

How CSK can qualify

CSK have 15 points and a healthy NRR +0.381 and are placed second in the table with 1 game to do. If they beat DC, they’ll qualify for playoffs.

If CSK lose

MI, LSG, RCB and GT can finish with more points than CSK, putting them in a difficult position where they must rely on other results.
