Lovlina Borgohain made history at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026, as she became the first Indian woman boxer to qualify twice for the Asian Games final.

Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist won her seat in the 75kg final by having a good performance in the semi-final.

Lovlina had won the Asian Games silver medal at the Hangzhou 2022 Games.

Her latest achievement marks another significant milestone in a career that already includes an Olympic medal and an Asian Games silver.

Post Paris Olympics, the boxer from Assam has been through tough times but hasn't given up on his pursuits at the highest level.

Lovlina also grabbed a silver at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, narrowly missing out on gold in the final of the 75kg event.

She has consistently excelled in the big tournaments showcasing her prowess in the sport and has emerged as one of the top women boxers in India.

Lovlina's career started in Assam and from there she continued climbing in the ranks, reaching the Olympics at Tokyo 2020.

She is the third Indian boxer after Vijender Singh and MC Mary Kom to win an Olympic medal at Tokyo.
