Go to WhatsApp > Settings > Privacy and review who can see your last seen, online status, profile photo and About information. Use My Contacts, My Contacts Except… or Nobody for tighter control.

Change Groups privacy so unwanted users cannot directly add you to group chats. You can also manage Status visibility and choose exactly who can view your updates.
Protect Your Chats
WhatsApp says personal messages and calls are protected by end-to-end encryption, keeping their contents private. Add Chat Lock for conversations you want to keep away from other people using your phone.
Secure Your Backups
Chat backups stored on iCloud or Google Drive can be protected with end-to-end encrypted backups. Remember your password or encryption key, as losing it can prevent backup recovery.

Use Privacy Checkup to review important account-protection options in one place. Also consider disappearing messages, silencing unknown callers and stronger privacy options where available.
