Anthropic has launched a beta Google Workspace add-on for paid Claude users. It brings Claude directly into Docs, Sheets and Slides, reducing the need to switch apps.
Smarter Google Docs Editing
Claude can rewrite text, correct sentences, update headings and edit existing documents. Users can review suggested changes before accepting them, while document formatting is preserved.
AI Tools for Google Sheets
Claude can create formulas, pivot tables, charts and new spreadsheet tabs from user instructions. It can also clean or analyse selected data and turn it into structured reports.
Help with Google Slides
Claude can create and edit presentations using existing layouts and themes. It can check slides for overlapping elements, overflowing text and readability issues.
Users Stay in Control
Claude can ask for approval before making changes, with each edit shown for review. An “Accept all edits” option lets users approve multiple changes at once.
Google Files from Claude
Users can share Google file links with Claude or ask it to create new Docs, Sheets and Slides. The Workspace add-on can be installed through the Google Workspace Marketplace and deployed by administrators.
