Power Star Pawan Kalyan or superstar Mahesh Babu?

Ever since Megastar Chiranjeevi entered politics, there's fierce competition to grab the No.1 position. Even as trade analysts, fans debate over who's the No.1 star in Telugu film industry, there's no consensus has been reached on the issue. Also, none is clear on what parameters to meet to clinch the No.1 title.

With success comes money. And perhaps remuneration could be one parameter to decide where a star stands in the industry. Going by this, the two big stars who are currently ruling Tollywood are Power Star Pawan Kalyan and Superstar Mahesh Babu. The duo is considered most successful when it comes to commercial cinema. The two charge anywhere between Rs 14 crores to Rs 15 crores.

The latest talk among trade analysts is that a corporate company is paying Mahesh Babu Rs 17 crore remuneration for a film.Meanwhile, Pawan Kalyan has created a new record at the box office with his Atharintiki Daredi which surpassed all records created by previous movies.

With this, Pawan's image reached its peak. Now, the buzz in the filmnagar circles is that a corporate company has offered to pay Rs 18 crores to Pawan for a film. While Pawan tasted success with his movies like Atharintiki Daredi and Gabbar Singh, Mahesh Babu became a sensation after his films Dookudu, Businessman and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu raked in crores at the Box office.

The duo has close competition. But who is No.1, there's still no answer to this as both are exemplary actors whose career graph is seeing an upward growth.
