Senior HMTV journalist Bandi Ravinder passes away

Warangal: Senior journalist and HMTV regional coordinator Bandi Ravinder passed away here on Thursday. He was 38. Ravinder recently underwent brain surgery in Hyderabad. He suffered a heart stroke on the day and was rushed to a private hospital where he breathed his last. HMTV and The Hans India Editor-in-Chief K Ramachandra Murthy, Kapil Group chairman K Vaman Rao and its president U Krishna Mohan expressed their heart-felt condolences at the demise of the scribe. The news channel had lost a very talented journalist, they said.
Ravinder was born on August 3, 1976, at Bhawsinghpalli village in Chityal mandal in Warangal district. He started his journalist career as a news contributor for Visalaandhra news daily. Later, he worked as a staff reporter for the daily in Hanamkonda. He also served Telugu news daily Andhra Jyothi and news channel TV9 before joining HMTV, where he also acted as the branch manager of The Hans India. He was known for his journalistic values. He actively participated in the Telangana movement and was a member of Telangana Journalists Forum.
In December 2013 Ravinder has edited and published a research book titled ‘Kakatiya Vamsha Rahasyam’ for which he received many accolades from different quarters. He is survived by his wife B Chandrakala and sons Akhil and Nikhil. His funeral was conducted at his native village Bhawsinghpalli, where he was given a tearful adieu. HMTV chief news coordinator Virahat Ali, reporters from the region and others attended the funeral rites and paid their last respects to Ravinder.
