Vijayawada urban management to be promoted by IFC AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu seems to be going through the perfect phase as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) has come forward to develop Vijayawada as a smart city.
AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu seems to be going through the perfect phase as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) has come forward to develop Vijayawada as a smart city. IFC, a part of the World Bank Group concentrates on smart cities and on PPP-mode infrastructure models.

Director of Asia-Pacific, Vivek Pathak; Manager of PPP (IFC Delhi), Isabel; Manager of IFC Delhi, Jeeva Perumalpillai Essex were asked to give advisory services to the AP government and suggestions on capacity building by the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
The Chief Minister during the meeting explained to IFC executives the potential for tourism and sought advice on managing cities and towns; also sought for their suggestions on redefining urban management, traffic management and converting 110 municipalities in the state to towns.
The delegates earlier were involved with the Buddhist circuit for Bihar and revealed their interest to share the business model with the AP Government.
