IDFC Bank opens branch in city
The IDFC Bank branch was inaugurated by District Collector Babu A and the bank Managing Director Rajiv Lall at Krishnalanka in the city on Wednesday. It is the 50th branch of IDFC Bank in the country and the first in the State.

Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said the introduction of micro ATM concept revolutionised the banking system by taking advanced banking services to the doorstep of people. Each coordinator equipped with a micro ATM functions like a bank under the new system, which aims to promote people’s banking, he said.
Rajiv Lall exhorted the newly appointed bank coordinators to work with dedication and commitment in providing advanced banking services to people in urban and rural areas. Micro ATMs were distributed to the newly appointed bank coordinators on the occasion. New bank accounts were also opened on the spot under the Aadhaar-based eKYC system. Bharat Bank head Ravishankar and others were present.
