The Atheist Centre on Tuesday flayed the communal forces for trying to obstruct the development of the city by raising a hue and cry over demolition of a few places of worship.
The Atheist Centre on Tuesday flayed the communal forces for trying to obstruct the development of the city by raising a hue and cry over demolition of a few places of worship. Dr G Samaram, Vijayam and Maitri of Atheist Centre hailed the State Government for implementing a plan of action to develop basic infrastructure in the city and its beautification.
Some political leaders and religious heads were trying to whip up communal passions by making demolition of the places of worship an issue citing people’s sentiments. The district administration did a commendable job by removing the `encroachments’ in busy areas without yielding to any pressure.
The State Government’s stance on demolition of the places of worship which came in the way of development of infrastructure, was justified. People of Vijayawada should thwart the designs of the communal forces which were hell-bent on obstructing development of the capital region, they said.
