Monsoon is all about sitting by the window and enjoying the pitter patter of raindrops. So, it is time to make your home a cosy place and brighten it up, says an expert.

Rajat Singhi, founder and creative director of Address Home, a luxury home decor brand, has shared some décor tips for monsoon:
* Begin transforming your home and make it monsoon ready by incorporating a slight change in the bed linen. Go for light fabric and bright colours. For instance, a bright Mediterranean blue can be teamed with an orange spread or yellow bed linen.
* Add the sparkle into your monsoon decor by investing in a few good aromatic therapy options. From candles to incense sticks, mild fragrance that can help evade musty smells is what you really need this season. Also, one can buy lanterns and votives for a more luxurious set up.
* A good way to welcome monsoon is by turning your house into a greener space and enriching your life with an environmentally positive ambiance. For instance, a money plant or bamboo shoots can be great for starters.
* Last but not the least, add colour into your life through some chinaware options. Pick out from a range that has floral art on it or pick colours that will suit the weather. You really do not need to wait for a formal occasion or for guests to pour in.
