Over 700 Kakaraparti Bhavanarayana students turns volunteer for Pushkaralu

Kakaraparti Bhavanarayana (KBN) College has decided to deploy 700 students for Krishna Pushkaralu to provide necessary assistance to pilgrims who will visit the city during the 12-day fete.

Speaking at an awareness programme on Krishna Pushkaralu for NSS volunteers held on Monday evening, college principal P Krishna Murthy said KBN students extended their services to pilgrims during the river festival in 1980, 1992 and 2004.

He urged NSS volunteers and students to discharge their assigned duties with commitment. They should focus on their personal safety while discharging duties at overcrowded places, he said. College vice-principal V Narayana Rao, NSS programme officer V Seshagiri Rao, faculty members B Ramaiah, J Panduranga Rao, K Prakash and others were present.
