Noted mimicry artiste Chandu was felicitated with the award of veteran movie artiste TL Kantarao by Mahanati Savitri Kala Peetham on Wednesday evening in Hotel Ilapuram. During this function the chief guest Dr Turlapati Kutumbarao said that Kanta rao has performed many significant characters in his film career. He also remembered his memories with that artiste.
He appreciated Chandu for getting the award in memory of Kantarao. Chandu has imitated Kantarao and performed some songs and dialogues from different movies. The founder of the organisation paruchuri Vijayalakshmi, Prabhala Srinivas, Sridevi, Dhara Karunasri, Kottha Jyothy, Konada Ashok and others also participated in the event.
