The engine now offers 189 PS at 13,000 rpm and 116 Nm torque.

Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade also receives reduced frame thickness resulting in 300 gms lower weight while frame is 10 per cent more flexible offering faster reaction time. Braking is via a new twin Tokico four piston radial mounted calipers as against Brembo see on the SP variants while Bosch ABS system, rear lift control, traction control, nine level Honda selectable torque control and Throttle by Wire are also part of its features.

Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade comes in with five levels of power delivery and three levels of Engine Brake Control while it receives three riding models of Track, Winding and Street. In Track mode, the Fireblade commands maximum power, linear acceleration and minimum intervention between traction control and EBC system.

In Winding mode power output from first to third gear is governed by the system while Street mode controls power output from first to fourth gear. Full TFT dashboard, nine level traction control, three rider modes and Showa BPF and BFRC suspension are also a part of its features.

On display at the ongoing EICMA show, there are unconfirmed reports that Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade could be launched in India where it will compete against the Yamaha YZF-R1 and Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R currently on sale in the country. While pricing is not announced as on date, the bike will be offered exclusively on one color red/black as for now.
