Minister for Water Resources Department (WRD) Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao inaugurated the Department Employees\' Sports and Games to mark Republic Day at Irrigation Circle compound here on Friday. Irrigation Department NGOs Association has been conducting the programme for a week.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister Devineni Uma Maheswara Rao said that playing sports and games had created recreation for employees. Then all the employees would offer dedicated services to people, he said. Remaining departments should conduct sports and games on line for the Water Resources Department, he suggested.
Krishna Delta Chief Engineer (CE) YS Sudhakar said that on the eve of Republic Day celebrations his department was conductingVolleyball, Cricket, Ball Badminton, Shuttle, Caroms, Tennicoit and Rangoli for women employees. The prizes would be presented on January 26 at irrigation compound, he said.
APNGO Association district president A Vidhyasagar urged that the government would provide coaching to those who had sports talent. NGO association would conduct sports and games for employees very soon, he announced.
WRD Superintendent Engineer (SE) S Sugunakara Rao, Executive Engineers Mohana Rao, MS Ravi Babu, K Babu, Irrigation Department NGO’s Association state associated president P Ramesh, Women secretary M Sujatha, district president D Chiranjeevi, Circle president Y Lankeswara Rao and others were present.
