District officials inspect RD celebrations preparations at IGMCS
On this occasion VMC Commissioner G Veerapandian asked the engineering officials to lay the approach road and set up temporary toilets in the stadium. He said that VMC public health department officials must clean the stadium and wanted the officials to provide dustbins at stadium.
District Collector Babu A, Vijayawada Municipal Commissioner (VMC) G Veerapandian, VMC Mayor Koneru Sridhar and Sub Collector Saloni inspected the Republic Day (RD) celebrations preparatory works at Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium (IGMCS) here on Monday and they directed the officials for quick completion of the ongoing arrangements.
On this occasion VMC Commissioner G Veerapandian asked the engineering officials to lay the approach road and set up temporary toilets in the stadium. He said that VMC public health department officials must clean the stadium and wanted the officials to provide dustbins at stadium.
He added that the officials should provide drinking water facility, shamianas and stage gallery to the people who would come to the RD celebrations in the stadium. VMC Chief Medical Officer M Gopi Naik, Executive Engineer Dhanunjay and others were present.
