Akhilabharata Kuchipudi Natya Kalamandali, Kuchipudi organiaed a three-day Vijayanagara Samrajya Kuchipudi Natya Kala Vibhavosthavalu in association with Padmabhushan Dr Vempati Chinnsatyam Kuchipudi, Chennai and Department of Language and Culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh from Wednesday to Friday at Sri Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College.

Akhilabharata Kuchipudi Natya Kalamandali, Kuchipudi organiaed a three-day Vijayanagara Samrajya Kuchipudi Natya Kala Vibhavosthavalu in association with Padmabhushan Dr Vempati Chinnsatyam Kuchipudi, Chennai and Department of Language and Culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh from Wednesday to Friday at Sri Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao Government Music and Dance College.

On the inaugural day famous Kuchipudi dancer and disciple of Dr Vempati Chinna Satyam AB Balakondala Rao of Visakhapatnam showcased excellent Kuchipudi dance items and made the spectators spellbound with her expressions and foot work.

Bala commenced with Slokabhinayam and continued her recital with javali ‘Agarudhupalatika vole’ and concluded with Sadasiva Brahmendra swamy keerthana ‘Bhajamanasa’. On this occasion Balakka was felicitated with life time achievement award.

Sudha Srinivas supported the dance with her sweet and melodious voice. Anukula Aananda Srihari on mrudangam and Palaparthy Anjaneyulu on violin ably supported to make the dance performance lively. Keeping the International Women’s Day in view, the Department of Language and Culture, Government of Andhra Pradesh has identified nine experts from difference fields and felicitated them.

Sarada Ramakrishna and AB Balakondala Rao from dance, Vishubhotla Krishnaveni and Vishnubhotla Saraswathi from Music, A Sasibala from Medicine, Ch Nirmalatha from Law, S Anuradha from Banking, Nasrin Bhanu from Police and Veluri Sudharani from Literature.

While congratulating the awardees the chief guest of the function Krishna District Chairperson Gadde Anuradha said that everyone should respect women to get the blessings of God. She also emphasised the plans that are being implementing by the State Government for the benefit of women.

Cultural Department director Dr D Vijayabhaskar, Music college principal KS Govindarajan, Sivaji, Director, Daccan Archaeology K Jetendra, Vedantam Rajagopala Chakravarthy and others were also present on the dais. It is strange to note that the Department has not found any artiste from drama and painting which are important and vital fields in the art forms. The art lovers felt that it should not repeat in future.
