Guntur: Rural SP Ch Venkata Appala Naidu made it clear that they have banned obscene dances at prabhas at Kotappakonda on the occasion of the Maha Sivaratri festivities. If anybody violates the orders, the police will book cases against them.

He said that they had taken all the steps to maintain law and order at Kotappakonda where a large number of devotes were expected to visit the temple on Tuesday. He said that they had already deployed additional forces at Kotappakonda and added that they set up a police control room.

The police had been using CC cameras to step up vigilance on the movements of the strangers. He said that special police parties would step up vigilance on the movements of the suspects. He already reviewed arrangements at Kotapakkonda annual festivities. The police department provided parking place for parking the vehicles. He informed that they had taken all the steps to avoid untoward incidents.
