roberHyderabad: Some identified persons lifted wrist watches worth Rs 1.5 crore from Kamal Watch Stores in Panjagutta on Friday. According to DCP west zone Sudhir Babu, the offenders gained entry into the showroom by breaking the locks of the store. They damaged the CCTV cameras before lifting the watches which included some costly brands manufactured by international companies. The police are trying to trace the culprits with the help of available CCTV footage in the store. The clues team has collected evidence from the store. The showroom owner lodged a complaint, after which police registered a case. The police expressed confidence of cracking the case soon. The store had gained prominence after Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai visited the store as brand ambassador of a foreign brand. The store has many branches in the twin cities.
