Kurnool: The district unit of Indian National Trust for Art and Culture (INTACH) celebrated here on Thursday the world heritage day by organizing a heritage walk with the members of INTACH and students of Heritage Club and National Academy of Construction.

The heritage walk which started at DWUMA training centre passed through various heritage sites including Sri Lakshmi Jagannadha Gattu at Lakshmipuram in Kalluru mandal, where the statues of Siva and Vishnu, Lakshmi Devi temple, Anjaneya temple, Jagannadha Swamy cave temple, Jadalaiah Swamy temple and other s were situated.

B Venkateswarlu, convener of district chapter of INTACH, said that the architecture and ancient sculpture at the Jagannadha Gattu would be preserved and developed as prominent tourist centre. Since the Jagannadha Gattu was situated near Kurnool city, he appealed to everyone to visit it. The tourist centre provides all facilities to the tourists, he added.
